Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm: September 13-October 11
This study is a general overview of The Bible, including history and how it came to be? Why are the Gospels so different? What are the types of writing in the Bible? How do and should we interpret the Bible? In each session, we will watch a video of a contemporary theologian and then have discussion. No preparation or book is required. Brown Bag Study – First Light: Jesus and the Kingdom
Mondays, 12:00-1:15 pm: Starts September 11, (no class October 9)
Each week we will watch a video featuring biblical scholars John Dominic Crossan and Marcus Borg. This Living the Question study will discuss the following questions: Why did Jesus happen when he happened? Why the confluence of the Baptism movement of John and the Kingdom movement of Jesus? Why the tiny villages around the Lake? Why the confrontations in Jerusalem? Why then? Why there? And many more questions. The Old Testament for Beginners
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm: October 25-December 20 (no class November 22)
Using a book by the same name, participants will study the Old Testament together. The book and a Bible will be required, as is some outside reading to prepare for class. This is a great course for those who have never studied the Bible, as well as for those who have taken Making Sense of the Bible or Animate: Bible and want to learn more. Care Givers Support Group

Mom’ s Group is a time of fellowship, a place of support, and a place to grow in our faith as we nurture our young children. Free coffee and childcare is provided.
Young at Heart
Meets: September 21, October 6, November 16
Our newly formed group for seniors, now known as the Young at Heart Group, will have a busy schedule for fall. We will start in September with a movie afternoon in Fellowship Hall, move on to a scenic fall river cruise on the St. Croix River and wind up November with games, lunch and fellowship at the church.
