History of MUMC

Our History

In 1977, a group of families joined together for worship to form a new United Methodist church to serve the Minnetonka community. Services were held at the Minnetonka East Junior High. As the membership grew they acquired land at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Lake Street Extension and built a sanctuary.

Over the years, the building grew and its programs were expanded. Now serving over 400 members, we are excited as we look to the future.
