Anxious, Yet Called

Series: Broken Yet Beloved

January 21, 2024 | Rev. Carrie Binnie

Passage: Psalms 55:1-8

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States. Unfortunately, churches have a history of perpetuating the mental health stigma with a toxic theology. Join us today as we consider God’s role in mental health conditions and the importance of sharing our stories for the sake of expanding the kingdom.

Series Information

One in every four U.S. adults experiences mental illness each year. Mental health is a subject of great importance yet is too often brushed under the rug by society, family, friends and the Church. This winter, we’ll examine stories from the Bible related to mental health and develop a tool kit for personal use. Join us as we ponder how we might proactively begin the New Year with a greater awareness of and compassion for those affected by mental health challenges.
