Series: From the Depths of Defiance: The Tale of Jonah

November 05, 2023 | Rev. Carrie Binnie

Passage: Jonah 1:1-3

On this All Saints Sunday, we remember and celebrate the lives of those we have loved and lost in the past year. In difficult times, such as seasons of deep grieving, we can feel distant from and/or angry with God. These feelings can prompt some of us to even run away from God. The story of Jonah begins with a man who does just that. Whether or not this story is historically true, it relays the truth that God’s love for us never falters.

Series Information

Sometimes God calls to go places we don’t want to go, do things we’re less than excited to do and interact with people we don’t care to know. The question is, how will we respond and what will our words and actions reflect to the world?
