Passage: Genesis 22:1-14

Every now and again we come across a biblical text that makes us question its authority and relevance for our lives. Stories like the binding of Isaac make us uncomfortable and quick to turn the page. Does God really test people? Does God will for a man to murder his son? How do we reconcile that which we read about in Genesis and our own experiences of God? Do we even want to believe in God? Join us as we look for some meaning in today’s Scripture passage and seek out what God would have us learn today.

Series Information

We know God is at work doing a new thing in this time and place. And yet, we believe the same Spirit of God has been at work since the beginning of creation. For the next five weeks, we will explore how God creatively works to redeem humanity and reconnect what we have divided. 

One day, God’s vision of an interconnected world will be realized. It all starts with a divine spark…
