Minnetonka United Methodist Church is part of the West Suburban Grief Coaltion (WSGC), a joint effort of 15 area churches to provide grief support in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. The Coalition aims to offer a non-threatening environment where people may share and understand feelings of grief, receive support and education, and move forward with their lives. All persons are welcome to attend a meeting at any time or to contact one of the WSGC area coordinators. The Coalition meets every Thursday, year-round, except holidays. There is no church affiliation or fee required of participants.
Thursday Agenda
- 4:00 PM - Registration, refreshments, socializing, browsing the resource library
- 4:30 PM - Devotion and speaker
- 5:00 PM - Breakout groups meet related to a specific loss (i.e., loss of spouse, child, family member/friend)
