Michelle grew up in Kansas – first in a rural community south of the Kansas City metro area, and then in one of the southern suburbs. After her family moved to Sartell, Minnesota during her senior year of high school, Michelle followed them and attended St. Cloud State University for a couple of years before returning to Kansas City. Michelle returned to Minnesota in 2010. While the majority of her professional career has been spent working as an Administrative Assistant, she took a brief break from office work to manage a small local retailer, where she also started teaching arts & crafts classes. When it became apparent that life changes were going to require a change in employment, she started her search looking primarily at places where she felt her skills could make a difference for the greater good. In her search, she applied to Minnetonka United Methodist Church. If she isn’t in the office or teaching a craft class somewhere, you can find Michelle with her nose in a book, walking her dog, hanging out with her cat, van camping or learning another new hobby to share with others.
