Befana’s Lesson

January 08, 2023 | Rev. Carrie Binnie

Passage: Matthew 2:1-23

Today, we resume our Advent and Christmas series as we explore different ways Epiphany is celebrated around the globe. In particular, we’ll learn about La Befana and consider what her message may be for us today. And speaking of messages, worshipers will each be given the opportunity to receive a star word to guide them in 2023. Who knows where and how God might communicate with us next?!

    Series Information

During this season of hustle and bustle when the world is fragmented and life feels harried, it’s more important than ever that we make relationships our priority and seek to understand our neighbors, near and far. As we prepare for the holy night when Christ will again be born, we invite you to join us as we focus on the Christmas traditions and customs of our brothers and sisters around the globe and look at ancient and familiar stories of his coming with a spirit of wonder.
