What’s Really Going On?

Series: I Didn’t Learn THAT in Sunday School

January 23, 2022 | Rev. Carrie Binnie

Passage: Genesis 19:1-17

Whether or not we think we understand them, it's always a good idea to examine biblical passages with a curious eye. Join us as we consider the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Rather than simply accepting and preserving a more traditional interpretation, we’ll take a closer look at the story the text is actually telling and what it might mean for us today.

Series Information

“Because we’ve always done it that way” isn’t just a phrase we hear about how a church operates or the traditions they uphold. Something similar could often be said about traditional interpretations of Scripture or long held beliefs. Beginning January 16, we will be exploring biblical passages and theological concepts that have often been understood from one perspective… until now.
