We have an active United Women in Faith group that is connected to the larger, global United Women in Faith organization (formerly known as the United Methodist Women, or UMW). Together, they seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education, all for the purpose of inspiring, influencing and impacting local and global communities. United Women in Faith is driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood to improve the lives of women, children and youth through bold action for justice and community transformation.
Some of the events we’ve hosted to raise money for mission and service organizations have included:
- Shred It – a shredding truck comes on site and people pay and/or leave monetary donations to make use of it
- Nothing But Chocolate – a chocolate-based dessert sale extravaganza conveniently held just before Valentine’s Day
The Latest Update:
Shocked by the price of cards these days? You can buy beautiful greeting cards in the MUMC lobby for just a $2.00 donation! These donations support the missions of the United Methodist Women in Faith. Our UMWF members use these funds to support various ministries, including Emma Norton Residence and Sojourner Project. Every card purchased will bring delight and comfort to your loved ones. Check it out!
